The Highlander's engine choices carry over, with the 2.7-liter four-cylinder that produces 187 horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 making 270 hp. A tidal model of hybrid V6 with an electric motor for 280 hp. EPA fuel economy estimate is not available, wqzxc but a new six-speed transmission offers additional equipment compared to the current model and promising fuel economy better around. As before, the Highlander comes standard with front-wheel drive and offer optional all-wheel drive.

Standard safety features include rearview camera, hill-start control, parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert and a pre-collision system.
