Previous reports have shown the model will ride on an extended version of the Touareg / Porsche Cayenne platform Volkswagen, but more recently it has been proposed that would use wqzxc the new MLB architecture that will be shared with the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley crossover and next-generation Touareg / Cayenne. This change could allow the model to weigh up to 363 kg (800 lbs) less than its predecessor.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but likely candidates include 3.0-liter V6 TFSI with 310 HP (228 kW) and a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 TFSI with 435 HP (320 kW). On the diesel side, wqzxc we can expect a 3.0-liter V6 TDI with 258 HP (190 kW) and 4.2-liter V8 TDI with 385 HP (283 kW). There are also rumors about the plug-in hybrid variant that can use the 3.0-liter TDI and the 115 HP (84 kW) electric motor.
