However, as the eDrive X5 xDrive system will have its all-wheel-drive. It also goes from 0-60 mph in less than seven seconds when both the electric motor and engine work together. Most importantly, claims an average fuel economy is 74.3 mpg UK on the scale. In the X5? Color me impressed.

It's not all mechanical technology, either. The battery is mounted under the cargo area to maximize space and keep the center of gravity low. It can be plugged in and charged from a standard outlet, and the battery and electric range can be seen on the BMW ConnectedDrive smartphone applications.

When the driver activates the route guidance function, the nearest public charging points appear on the map. Also worth noting is groovy, BMW "i Blue" accents outside, reminding the audience that this was no ordinary X5.

2015 BMW X1 Release Date

2015 BMW X1 Release Date - X1 has been there for four years before being added to the U.S. BMW's lineup, so it was not all that surprising that a new vcxzq version of the company's smallest Sports Activity Vehicle is already in the works. Arrested in transit at the back of a truck, these spy shots give us our first look at next-gen X1 - codenamed F48 - which is expected to debut around 2015.

While camouflage does a good job covering most of the styling elements, we certainly see evidence of X1 this new platform. Elements such as the loss of a long nose vcxzq and noticeably shrink dash-shaft gap (just compare this spy shot of this one picture from our X1 review), is a good indicator that the X1 will next move to the platform front-wheel-drive the new BMW uses for new mini and 1 Series GT. Aside from this, the overall shape is very similar to the current design, but we are sure will attract a lot of cues from the various updates of BMW products.
